"Revolutions" tend to do less damage as a function of how much of the old order they PRESERVE.
Where they revolutionaries or their opponents burn down the old order, chaos ensues & vulnerable people die.

This person's got a different perspective from mine. Skip back to the top of this thread; nothing here I can disagree with, & yes, 'keep some of the old shit' is not a very attractive revolutionary pitch.
