we’re too old for “cliques”... like grow up. We have to stop normalizing you not allowing yourself to get to know a person or develop a friendship simply because you heard bad about them from someone else.
Everyone has their own experiences with different people. Every single one of us is a bad guy in someone’s story. Never will I ever not allow myself to get to know someone or immediately not speak to them because I hear they don’t get along with someone else.
Lots of people tend to do this in college... but at the end of the day your peers are your network. To sum this up... get your own impression of someone rather than going based off someone else’s. That could be your best friend, your boss, your husband... etc. you never know.
Learn to judge individuals for yourself. Dont go looking for a problem with someone or walking around with an imaginary grudge for a situation that wasn’t yours to hold.
