So I have learned that the term "delulu" is ableist as it is labeling someone negatively for having delusions and mental issues (which some people do have and should not be insulted for!!) and I would like to apologize for having used it ignorantly and so frequently.

I can't find the original thread on it, but the idea of the term "delulu" being ableist, from my understanding of what I read, is it's similar to calling someone "crazy" bc it turns a mental condition (such as having delusions or being mentally unstable) into degrading insults

I don't know everything about this, but am reading up on it more and will be more conscious about my word choices!!!

Stan twitter definitely has a bad way of normalizing these things and I'm at fault for just accepting it and going with it.

No one's *making* me have this thread or explain all this; I just wanted to put it into words and share for myself !
