♡ how to prevent hair loss ♡
the best and easiest way to prevent hair loss is obviously upping your intake and eating healthy. but since many of us can’t do that, this thread will help provide you other ways you can minimize hair loss and make sure your hair is healthy

♡ biotin ♡
- Biotin is a B vitamin that helps improve your body’s keratin infrastructure. Keratin is a protein that makes up your hair,skin,and nails. If you consume biotin supplements it’ll help with the growth of your hair. Some people also claim it helps your hair thicken
♡ sulfate free shampoo ♡
- sulfate-free shampoos help maintain the natural oils on the scalp and hair. this helps your hair retain moisture which gives it shine. sulfates in general are harsh on your scalp and can cause dryness and frizzy hair, which we obviously don’t want
♡ protein ♡
- it’s also important to consume more protein. hair is made out of a protein called keratin. in order to have healthy hair and keep it strong you need to incorporate protein into your diet. try to eat around 30g if you can, but if you can’t then dw too much <3
♡ fish oil ♡
- please talk to your doctor before consuming them! fish oil helps your hair open up the hair follicles & promotes hair growth which helps make up for the daily hair loss
♡ coconut oil mask ♡
- coconut oil is known to help your hair grow faster, thicker, and longer. the vitamins found inside of coconut oil help nourish the scalp. i recommend doing a 12 hour long hair mask twice a week.
♡ castor oil ♡
- castor oil is raved about for hair growth. it can be used for eyelashes, eyebrows, and hair on the scalp. it helps moisturize the hair shaft which helps prevent breakage. it also aids in blood circulation which results in hair growth
♡ iron ♡
- iron contributes to the production of hemoglobin in your body. it sends nutrients & oxygen to your hair's cells, which is vital for their growth. lack of iron interrupts this process which leads to hair loss. if you can, consume more iron rich foods to help your hair
♡ massage your scalp ♡
- scalp massaging can increase the thickness of your hair since it stretches the cells of the hair follicles. try to massage your scalp 1-3 times a day
♡ hair washing ♡
- reducing the amount of times you wash your hair in a week can help prevent breakage. although it’s nice to take a shower everyday, it’s best to avoid washing your hair every single day. it’s recommended that you only wash your hair 1-3 times a week
♡ hairstyles ♡
- this honestly varies. there’s so many different hair types in the world with different curl patterns. what may work for you may not work for others. i’m not aware of how to maintain all of them so it’s best to ask a professional

- this is just random tips i have that work for MY hair (it may not work for you depending on your hair type)
- only brush hair when wet
- no hairdryer
- use heat protectant spray when using hair strengthen or curler
- use a leave in conditioner
