On community messaging about HIV prevention- when funding comes from conservative (eg state/federal) sources, messaging has to be more conservative. Funding from other sources enables more in your face messaging (which can be more effective).

On being a supportive ally to queer friends of color- be yourself, educate yourself on what terminology is/isn’t appropriate, avoid judgment or shaming negative behaviors.

On criminalizing HIV non-disclosure: Michigan law recently changed to acknowledge the science of transmission, and focus on intent.
