[Thread] So @KB_HGA released his 4th studio album titled "His Glory Alone" last Friday. It's possibly CHH's best album yet. Read on.
Sampling Michael W. Smith's "Let it Rain", the album opens with "Let it Reign," a genre-bending record where God is asked to reign down and show the world His majesty. That build-up to the bass-drop-and-stop at 00:42 got me out of my seat the first time I heard.
It continues with "Lil Boy", where KB, a responsible Christian father advises his two sons about money, fame, power, women, etc and urges them to walk worthy of their calling. This thumping banger is heavily based on 1st Corinthians 13:11
The third track, 10K, samples 10,000 Reasons by worship leaders Matt Redman & Steve Angrisano. This is inspired by Psalm 103:1-5 where the name of the LORD is exalted because we have innumerable reasons to do so. We indeed have a God who does not change with the seasons!
"This Is Life" is one of my favorite songs on this album. This sombre ballad samples Hillsong's "So Will I (100 Billion X)" and transforms it into a head-bopping banger that leaves you deep in thought about life, God's glory and man's purpose on Earth.
With inspiration from Chris Tomlin's "Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies)" and based on 2 King 6, "Armies" reinforces and encourages us to remain steadfast in the LORD even when things are not exactly going right because God sends angel armies to fight for us!
Masterpiece is just KB setting the bar high for young Christian fathers. This ballad is dedicated to his daughter. It's so so beautifully written that you can almost feel KB's love for his daughter through his voice. "Whatever you become, I'll always be in love."
Produced by Cardec and featuring Tommy Royale, “Libre” is a Latin trap based track about KB’s freedom found in Christ. KB says he wrote this verse at the hospital when his daughter was born.
"Yes Song" stays true to the theme of the album by sampling "Yes I Will" by Vertical Worship. This song is possibly my favorite (I can't choose). The song's message is that, no matter how baleful things get, God still deserves Glory because He has an immaculate record.
"Dark Skin" is a recital about racism, colorism & discrimination. It’s 2020.
"They say millennials are leavin' God; I just smiled, like, you really need to see the squad".

This hardcore rap is a rally cry about the undying love that people still have for God. Yes, numbers may be dwindling, but WE RIGHT HERE!!!
“Loyal Til The End” is about loyalty even in the face of adversity. Honestly not one of my favorites but it’s hard-hitting so 🤷‍♂️
