For the uninitiated, the Blue Jays are the youngest team in baseball, and have somehow lucked into the very last playoff spot.

At 5:00, they play the Tampa Bay Rays, whom we hate for being cheap, labour-exploiting, statheaded technocrats in a best of three. (Not jealous.) 1/3
(This is different from the Yankees, Red Sox, Orioles, Astros, Rangers and Tigers, whom we hate for other extremely legitimate reasons.)

They’re playing at Tampa’s park, which, being empty, has about 200 fans less than usual in it.

It’s haunted and we always lose there. 2/3
With everything else going on in the world, it’s easy to miss that something fun is happening for Toronto right now.

Tune in if you’re inclined, and cheer on Captain Kirk, our diesel-engine backup catcher who hadn’t played above rookie ball until a few weeks ago. 3/3
