regret to inform all 5 of you that i will be voting for joe biden because the other guy is literally trying to destroy the country and is putting kids in concentration camps

i think if this were any other election with any other candidates, it wouldn’t be something i would hem and haw about as much. i might even write someone in because i live in California. but this just... isn’t that time. if that’s what you’re gonna do, no judgement. but i can’t.

was joe biden my favorite? no. is he now? absolutely not. but electing him, and scrutinizing him left and right and pushing him as far left as he’s willing to go is far easier than 4 (?) more years of an authoritarian wannabe. biden means there’s a chance for progress.

trump’s re-election means it’s game over for the country. i thought similarly last time, and frankly, it’s worse than i thought it would be. far worse.
no clue why i decided to write this thread, maybe it’s pre-debate anxiety, but this is where i stand.
