This has been a season of handballs and penalties in the PL.

Last season's Serie A had a whopping 152 penalties, when they had very stringent rules regarding handball situations in the penalty box.

This season is projected to have a record breaking 292 penalties in the PL.
Serie A changed back to the less severe rules while PL decided that every handball is a pen.

In many PL games this season the commentators seemed surprised that the assistant referees didn't call offside on close calls and let the play go on if there was a clear chance for goal
to then afterwards raise the flag, explaining it thoroughly everytime, it seemed as though they had never seen it before.

All this makes us wonder if anyone working on the #PremierLeague even watches any other league whatsoever.
