The spooky season is upon us! This year, in addition to my regular movies, I'm adding some new movies & Shows: Evil Eye, The Invisible Man, Shirley, The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Ratched, Lovecraft Country, Midsommar & maybe some others.

First movie: It Comes at Night. Idk what came at night, but the sense of foreboding was intense

Given the subject, Shirley Jackson, arguably one of the greatest horror writers. This was not scary at all. Haunting, yes. Women, madness, the role of women in the 50s academic setting.

Addams Family & Addams Family Values double feature. Seriously. These movies have aged remarkably well. I continue to want a live remake of both with a BIPOC cast. It would be epic.

Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. The first Scooby-Doo movie I can remember being genuinely scared of as a kid. Wonderful
