Natarajan didn't have the best of facilities while growing up in Chinnappampatti, which is a small village in Salem district. Mom a daily-wage labourer. Got the attention during TNPL and has come a long way. But what is incredible is... (1/n)
When Periyaswamy, another aspiring bowler from his place, gave up hope of playing cricket, Natarajan went to his house and convinced his family, there is a future for him in cricket. There are so many who look up to Natarajan now. Their target. @TNPL first, if good enough, IPL
Natarajan continues to help so many guys who he used to play tennis ball cricket with. He gives good education to his three siblings and has built a house for his parents. Asked him once, will you buy a car, his reply was: "Need to take care of the basics first. Luxury can wait."
Another quote of his I remember: "Want to educate my sisters. If they get that, their lives will improve on own. Will support them to any extent. Investing in their education is bigger than me driving in some fancy car."
