1/5 In #Karabakh conflict zone intensity of fighting is on rise. With more heavy weapons, drones and longer-range rockets reported to be used.

Still, one has to remember that fighting in this region is not only about weapons.
2/5 Most of the #Karabakh conflict zone is a mountainous area with the Armenian troops in control of most of the heights.

The deeper #Azerbaijan plans to move, the more losses it will have.

Every day Baku adds a more difficult location for intense fighting:
3/5 Sunday was all about the southern location, which is mainly a valley area close to the Araks river that separates the region from #Iran.

If to compare to other parts of the conflict zone, in theory in the South it is relatively easier to gain control of territories.
4/5 Next day #Azerbaijan reinforced attacks at another end of the frontline in the North-East. There fighting is more difficult due to mountains and dense forest.

We heard of rockets and artillery reaching towns close to the frontline on both sides: Martakert and Terter.
5/5 Today it has been about the North and the Murovdag mountains, which is the most difficult location to fight with peaks covered with snow most of the year.

Armenia’s Vardenis town, which came under Azerbaijani attacks, is the military headquarters responsible for Murovdag.
