this is my boyfriend isaac, 23 years old, year 3 physics major in university while i’m 20, a year 2 economics major

we met when we were grouped together to do a project for a module we both took, despite being from completely different faculties

Isaac tried doing everything himself at first since he’s a genius and doesn’t these other peoples work (haha arrogant bitch) but he realised he couldn’t do it well since the project included essay writing but he was good at numbers

social science student me ended up saving our project essay, and we ended up working together really well. him coming up w ideas and me translating them into proper convincing essay points. our relationship was purely project mates only at first

we realised we stayed in the same block on campus so we ended up staying up a lot to do our project together in our hostel’s 24 hours lounge. isaac and I kept our distance and didn’t bother with each other’s private lives for months cause we were *just* group mates, not friends

one day when we were in the middle of our discussion, my laptop ran out of battery so I had to go back to my room to get my charger. he then saw my *really badly done* physics tutorials and cringed, and he offered to help me with my work after we were done with our project

“I could help you with your physics tutorial, not that you should you should accept my help or anything” he says awkwardly

and that’s how we started getting closer he helped me with physics while I helped him with his essays, we met between classes at the library or at night at our hostel’s common areas to study together

spending time together meant we slowly got to know each other better and somehow I started falling for him - the way he would be shy and bashful when I called him smart, his kindness towards everyone despite shutting himself out from others

getting to know him on the surface level was natural and easy, but digging deeper into his heart was difficult. as we spent more time together I slowly got a glimpse of his past, I wanted to know more about him, to understand him and to love him

running out of reasons to meet, I asked him out on a date(?)! he was reluctant at first but I convinced him saying that I had no one else to go with

“You don’t have to come but I’d have to go alone if you don’t agree, Isaac... ” I texted him on a weekday night after studying

“fine we can go, i happen to be free that day” hahah tsun

we end up going on a lunch date at a cute harry potter themed cafe, with Isaac watching me be amazed at drinks changing colours and how good the food was most of the time

I was panicky and nervous at first but I realised we’re gg on this date as friends (Isaac dense af lolol) and I started chilling once all the food and drinks arrived
