when small filmmakers cross over to doing big franchise films yes there are CONS but there are also PROS.. I will never understand gatekeeping and being pissed at filmmakers for doing something they themselves sought out and signed up to do themselves.

will it be a waste of talent?? most likely. Could it turn out great? Maybe?? Who know. No filmmaker or movie is absolutely 100% perfect, everytime a filmmaker makes a film is made its a RISK. Most payoff and most don’t. You won’t know until it happens.

And I’m not defending the “mouse” I’m just tired of seeing this gatekeeping thing. You all did it when Chloé Zhao signed up for Eternals, when Nia Dacosta sough out to for CM2, and now with Barry. Let filmmakers do whatever it is they WANT to do, whether you support it or not.
