...'lesser known' archipelagos of the Caribbean.
Many Caribbean territories are single island states like Dominica and Martinique. Others we know to be archipelagic, like The Bahamas and Saint Vincent & the Grenadines.

Here's a thread on archipelagic territories we usually refer to as being a single or dual island territory.
Anguilla šŸ‡¦šŸ‡®

Anguilla is just N of St. Martin.

Although we refer to it as a single island, Anguilla is actually a collection of islands & cays. The largest & only inhabited island is Anguilla.

Other islands include Dog Island, Scrub & Little Scrub Islands & Prickly Pear Cays.
Antigua & Barbuda šŸ‡¦šŸ‡¬

You may be thinking, obviously Antigua AND Barbuda is an archipelago. Though, there are more islands than Antigua & Barbuda; they're just the largest & only inhabited.

One island, Redonda, is actually closer to Montserrat than it is to Antigua or Barbuda.
The small island of 'Guiana Island', which is just off Antigua (the archipelago's largest) is a refuge for the fallow deer.

Introduced to the Caribbean, the deer is found only Barbuda & Guiana Island and is the national animal of the country, featured on its Coat of Arms.
Bermuda šŸ‡§šŸ‡²

181...

That's how many islands & cays make up Bermuda. In fact, the former name for the islands was 'Somers Isles' (Isles being plural).

The capital, Hamilton, is found on the largest island; Main (or Bermuda) Island. Though, the airport is on St. David's Island.
Bonaire šŸ‡§šŸ‡¶

One of the ABC islands, Bonaire is also more than one island.

In fact, there are two islands; Bonaire & Klein Bonaire.

Klein Bonaire, just 800m from Bonaire, is much smaller than Bonaire and is completely uninhabited, though remains of slave dwellings still exist.
Cuba šŸ‡ØšŸ‡ŗ

Cuba is, by far, the largest island in the Caribbean.

Cuba is also an archipelagic country with ~4,000 smaller islands and cays.

The largest of which is Isla de la Juventud, south of mainland Cuba. This island is also one of the largest in the Caribbean.
CuraƧao šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¼

Like Bonaire, CuraƧao also has a smaller namesake.

Klein CuraƧao has a lighthouse, but is uninhabited like Klein Bonaire. Historically, the island was used to house sick slaves before taking them to CuraƧao. Slaves that succumbed to their illnesses were buried there.
Grenada šŸ‡¬šŸ‡©

Grenada is an archipelago that shares the Grenadine islands with Saint Vincent. Though, only Saint Vincent reflects this in its name.

Carricou is the largest Grenadine & Grenada's 2nd largest. Other islands are Petite Martinique, Large Island and White Island.
Ronde Island, another one of Grenada's Grenadine Islands is a private island for sale.

Its listing price of $100,000,000 makes it one of the most expensive private islands in the world. It is beaten in price only by Lisbon Island (Portugal) which is listed at $310,000,000.
Guadeloupe šŸ‡¬šŸ‡µ

Guadeloupe consists of a number of islands. Only 6 of them are inhabited.

The two largest (making up the main islands of Guadeloupe) are Basse-Terre & Grande-Terre. The other inhabited islands are Marie-Galante, La DĆ©sirade, Terre-de-Haut and Terre-de-Bas.
Haiti šŸ‡šŸ‡¹

Sharing the island of Hispaniola with Dominican Republic, the country of Haiti includes of a number of smaller islands.

One, La Tortue (Tortuga), was historically a pirate's haven. Another, La GonĆ¢ve (GonĆ¢ve), is actually the largest of Hispaniola's smaller islands.
Jamaica šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡²

Jamaica, the country, is archipelago comprising of 28 islands and cays. A number of them are just off of Jamaica's Palisaodes, where its 2nd busiest airport is found.

The largest of which is, of course, Jamaica. Jamaica is also the only permanently inhabited island.
Two offshore island groups of Jamaica are the Pedro Cays, in the Pedro Bank and the Morant Cays.

Up to 400 people, mainly fisherman, for periods of up to six months out of the year reside in the Pedro Cays. Middle Cay is home to the largest temp. population of the Pedro Cays.
Puerto Rico šŸ‡µšŸ‡·

Puerto Rico is archipelago consisting of over 100 island. Puerto Rico is not the only permanently inhabited island, however. The other permanently inhabited islands are Culebra & Vieques & are sometimes referred to as the Spanish/Puerto Rican or Virgin Islands.
Isla Palomino is just off the mainland and is a private island which is utilised by the El Conquistador Resort in nearby Fajardo for its guests to enjoy beach activities in seclusion.
Trinidad & Tobago šŸ‡¹šŸ‡¹

The Twin Island Republic is actually more of a 20+ Island Republic.

The largest & only permanently inhabited islands are Trinidad & Tobago. There are other islands such as Little Tobago & St. Giles Islands (pictured) which are T&T's northernmost point.
Carrera Island, another one of T&T's islands, is used as a prison facility & has been since the 1800s. Plans were announced to close the facility in 2013, but it remains open.

Prior to being used a prison, it was used as a hospital to ease overcrowding at the Colonial Hospital.
There we have it. Some of the 'single' or 'dual' island Caribbean territories which are actually archipelagos.
