I've been seeing a lot of hate towards eren, reiner, and floch lately saying that "they're evil and they're the bad guys because they kill innocent people". Most of them are erwin stans (not hating on erwin tho). Well let me tell you something, there are no good and evil in aot+
Jean tried to kill gabi when she shot sasha despite of the obvious that gabi is 12 yr old kid. Jean didn't hesitate to shoot her but can you blame him tho? Sasha is one of the most closest friend to jean but she was killed in front of him. Can you blame him for his actions? No.
Connie had a total breakdown after seeing his mom turns into a titan. He didn't even had the chance to say "I'm home" or "goodbye" to his mom at all. The feeling of sadness and depression he felt inside him gave him the urge to trick falco and feed him to his mom so that hecould+
See and be with her mom again. But can you blame him? If you were in his shoes would you probably do the same? Because if I were connie, I would sacrifice falco just to turn my mom back into a human (Connie is really underrated despite of his well written and relatable character)
Armin literally killed thousands of innocent soldiers and civilians, not to mention children too. He actually saw that there was an injured kid below him but he still crushed him anyways but can you blame him? He was ordered to do all this and as a soldier, he has to do it++
To protect and bring backup to his other comrades who are also killing innocent people. It's his duty that's why he didn't hesitate to crush them because that was the role they gave him.
Mikasa totally treated Louis so bad here. All louis did was to look up and idolize her but mikasa treated her like trash. But I honestly think that the reason why mikasa was acting like that, was because of the pent up stress she was feeling because of all the happenings++
Mikasa is indeed a cold character but she would never treat anyone like that intentionally. I mean could you even smile and socialize with your fan while Eren is gonna destroy the world and millions of people are dying? Don't say that you can just to topple on Mikasa's character
I don't know why a lot of you hate floch while he is actually one of the most well written character in aot and he's also really relatable. Why are you hating on him? Because he has a stupid haircut back in s3? Because he gets in the way of the alliances? Is it because +++
He annoys you because he states real facts and he told nothing but the truth? Or is it that you hate him because that's what most of the fandom tells you to? Sorry but hating on a character because of clout is really stupid. Floch's obedience and loyalty to his hometown is one of
A kind. He wants nothing more than freedom for his town. Also, don't forget abt the fact that floch had a chance to kill some members of the alliances but he didn't. He just shot the tank instead. He never wanted to kill anyone, he just wants to stop them from reaching eren.
Eren and reiner are like the best characters in aot, yet they are also the most hated. Why? Because they took millions of innocent lives? Well let me ask you. Did they do it for fun? Did they do it because they were bored? Did they do it for themselves? No.
Reiner was indeed selfish and unfair for forcing annie and bert to continue the mission but he did that for a reason. He didn't want to go home and disappoint his family and his people. Reiner was really determined and worked hard just to obtain the armored titan because he++
Wanted to be a hero to his hometown. He did all those terrible things not for himself, but for his friends and his people too. After inheriting the armored titan, do you think he will just easily give up and throw all his hard work away? No. That's not reiner at all
Same goes for eren. He wanted nothing more but freedom since he was a kid. Did he wanted freedom for himself? No. He always said to armin and mikasa that the 3 of them will go and see the outside world together. He was unfair to some extent. But he did all that to protect them.
That's why eren pushed them and locked them away to keep them safe. Eren is doing everything for his friends and the people of paradis. He may also be doing it for his personal reasons but I believe that eren is not that entirely selfish.
Eren knew that his friends weren't gonna side with him that's why he refused to tell them his plan. I mean what else other choice he had? Use the euthanasia plan which is totally racist? I know it's the safest plan because no will die but why would eren allow eldia not to ++
Reproduce and wait until the whole eldian race gets extinct? That's like safe rumbling against eldians and letting Marley win. Eren didn't allow it and he knew that marley will attack them in any second that's why he acted first. But really, could you blame them for their actions
Reiner and eren moved forward despite of the consequences. They knew that what they're doing is wrong but was there another best way? They moved forward and reflected to their actions. They did everything just to achieve their goals and that's what makes them the best characters
They are totally similar to erwin. Doing fail safe plans just to achieve their goal. And stop comparing them to each other. Yes their mindsets are bit similar but they are also different in their own way. I am not telling you to like these characters. My point here is that there
Is no good and evil in aot. All of them are bad in their own ways. Every character has flaws. Try to look deeper into them to understand. Also stop hating on characters because of an invalid stupid reason (if u don't agree with this, then ok. I don't have time to argue with u)
