black women we HAVE to stop gatekeeping braids. Here is a thread if you are white and want to get braids (please read)

First lather your hair with nair. I know this sounds weird but nair actually contain deoxnhyldrolugen which strengthens your hair. Keep it on ONLY for 10 minutes

Next, book an appointment at an AFRICAN BRAIDING SALON!! This is very important. They will make sure that your braids are nice and "snug." Also ask then to braid your edges. If they leave your edge out if will look tacky so ask them to braid it.

Make sure you get MICROBRAIDS!!! They look absolutely amazing on our white sisters. Make sure that they are done tightly so that they can& #39;t be pulled off.
