anyway the bot project gave me a chance to reread all of memes jwebs and some of my fave interviews meme is a Good Boy who loves his members, loves his fans, and thinks a lot about gratitude to others and how he can repay people for their support

he has a really strong and admirable core but at the heart of it he still calls for help some times (“i’m strong because my fans protect me”) & (“compliment me switch!”) so the sort of strong but glimpses of vulnerability that make you wanna go meme~~~~

and he calls for his fans to be good people too (eg, recognising he is a person who can have influence, the cyberbullying one, telling his fans to be kind, to be the kind of people who can do things for others)

and he also implies a lot about how to stan someone in a healthy manner, like always willing happiness for his fans, if they didn’t hit for a con don’t be too sad “i’ll think about you all that couldn’t come”, that he wants his fans to work hard in their respective areas

my two most favourite quotes:

(1) I hope that one day when you part away from me you can look back and not regret the time you spent as my fan; that’s the kind of time I wish to spend with you

(2) I will work hard so that one day I can make you say “I’m glad I met Meguro Ren”

it really hit hard like... i /am/ glad i met meguro ren. i really admire him and i yearn to be that kind of strong, caring, and passionate. realistically i don’t know if i’ll be around forever but i won’t regret stanning someone who inspires such emotion in me

anyway in conclusion imma write my first fanletter bc even if he never reads it i need meguro to know he has one more fan who’s glad to have met him
