After the passing of #RBG, a repeal of the Affordable Care Act through #SCOTUS would be a massive transfer of money from low- and moderate-income Americans to high-income Americans. Our column with @SethHanlon and @Prof_CEW reveals scary picture, especially post #COVID19 #ACA

The ACA supports low- and moderate-income people by measures that ensure more widespread insurance coverage, reduce costs, raise the standards of what insurance companies need to cover, and subsidize millions of people who need it
Widespread insurance just makes sense. People without health insurance are much more vulnerable financially
Repeal during the pandemic would make 20 million people lose health coverage.
Pre #COVID19: 135.4 million people with preexisting conditions; could face higher premiums, benefit exclusions, or be coverage denial. Now add almost 7 million COVID survivors!

Even though millions of families will experience negative effects to their health and economic well-being if the ACA is struck down, it would shower large tax cuts on wealthy Americans, including the billionaires whose fortunes have grown this year
A court repeal would strike down the regulations that ensure vibrant marketplaces with many participants, terminate subsidies and limit Medicaid-linked affordable public insurance, hurting low- and moderate-income folks & showering large tax cuts on the highest-income Americans.
