HOW TO FIX THE POGTOPIA PROBLEM: aka, im overanalyzing stuff to avoid doing homework, a thread:
So if you've been watching the streams lately, you know there's a minor issue with the Pogtopia v Schlatt fight happening right now: namely, that there's way too many people fighting on Pogtopia's side. So how do we fix this issue with minimal changing of sides? +
I made a spreadsheet listing all the members of the SMP (i probably missed someone sorry), how stacked they are, and how active they will be in the eventual fighting (ex. Dream inactive, Tommy active, etc.) For the Pogtopia narrative to hold true, they have to +
be an underdog, though not too underpowered as to be unable to fight back (considering they have so many people on their side, this is much less of an issue). The sides were analyzed based on people's current declarations, and the conditions of how stacked players are +
is defined as Stacked - enchanted netherite armor and weapons, Lightly Stacked - enchanted diamond armor and weapons, and not Stacked, indicating nothing at all. (Disclaimer: I can't watch all of the streams and am not super sure of how stacked all players are, forgive me) +
So starting from the sides: We have Pogtopia vs Dream SMP. On Pogtopia's side we have Tubbo, Fundy, Bad, Techno, Tommy, Dream, Eret, Niki, and Wilbur. That gives us 9 for Pogtopia. On Schlatt's side, we have (formally declared) Schlatt, Quackity, and George +
Undeclared, we have 8: Ponk, Punz, Sapnap, Alyssa, Callahan, Jack, Karl, and Skeppy. To keep Pogtopia as the underdog, we want all of the neutral players as of now to join Schlatt's side, putting us at 8 with Pogtopia vs 11 with Schlatt
Other ways to change this would be Fundy or Tubbo (though Tubbo is rather unlikely at this point) being a full traitor, putting us at 7 v 12 or 6 v 13 +
Next on how stacked players are, we have four stacked players in Pogtopia (Dream, Eret, Tommy, and Techno) as well as two lightly stacked players* (*lightly stacked is rather easy to change, as it only takes a few diamonds considering how many people have Fortune III) +
With the sides assigned as before, Schlatt's side has four stacked players (Punz, George, Sapnap, and Ponk) and nobody, to my knowledge, that is lightly stacked (but again, diamonds are easy to get, so this is very much subject to change) +
this is best analyzed in conjunction with the activity in the coming revolution of all members. As Dream will not be actively fighting, the amount of stacked *fighters* on Pogtopia's side has been decreased to three. +
The amount of stacked players on each side is four. As Tommy and Techno will definitely be fighting, the best way to effectively keep Pogtopia as an underdog is to keep both Eret and Dream inactive in the actual fighting while having all four stacked players with Schlatt active+
putting us at 2v4 with stacked players. Onto lightly stacked players, we have Tubbo, Fundy, and Bad with Pogtopia (I'm not sure if Tubbo is stacked or not, but for our purposes we'll just have him in diamond bc having him stacked puts too much firepower with Pogtopia) +
With Schlatt, we have no one (to my knowledge) that is lightly stacked. To fix this, we can have Bad as inactive and Fundy as a full traitor, giving us a 1v1 with lightly stacked players. On the other hand, diamond is very easy to obtain with a little bit of mining +
so it would not take too much time to stack up a couple members of Schlatt's side. With Skeppy, Jack, Schlatt, and Quackity on Schlatt's side, having full diamond, we have lightly stacked players as 3v4. Should Bad be inactive in the fighting, we have 2v4. +
As far as active fighters on each side, we have Wilbur, Tommy, Techno, Niki, Tubbo, and Fundy. On Schlatt's side, we have the aforementioned stacked players: Punz, Ponk, Sapnap, and George, as well as Quackity and Schlatt. For best results, as many members on Schlatt's side +
should be active as possible, but at the minimum here we have a 6v6 for active fighters, with 2 stacked, 2 lightly stacked, and 2 unstacked with Pogtopia vs 4 stacked and 2 unstacked with Schlatt. +
So as far as solving the Pogtopia issue, we have a couple main solutions. The first is Traitor Fundy - that puts us at a 7v12 with people, 2v4 with stacked players, 1v1 with lightly stacked players, and 2v2 with unstacked. +
The other solution (that can exist instead of or with Traitor Fundy) is to stack up Schlatt's side, especially Quackity and Schlatt. This puts us at 8v11 people, 2v4 stacked, 2v2 lightly stacked, and 2v0 unstacked. More members of Schlatt's side could fight as well+
Getting Schlatt's side stacked might be necessary regardless, as with Techno's diamond resevoirs and the endorsement of Dream and Eret, two very stacked players, it would be very easy to get all of Pogtopia in unenchanted diamond at least +
There are more elegant solutions to this for sure, but this is just my analysis of both sides! However this ends up playing out, both sides have worked really hard to make this really entertaining, and I'm very excited no matter what. +
Please put down any thoughts you may have as well! I kinda made this up in like, ten minutes, and I'm really open to hearing what you think. Analyzing stuff like this is fun. Thank you for reading!
