People tell me “Oh but it’s the coaching!”. Well who in the hell had their tiny hands in the coaching hires? Hurney. Drafts? Hurney. Free agents? Hurney. The Panthers organization reeks of Martyocrity. If Panthers fans are content with sub-.500 then give Hurney a new contract.

I don’t think it’s unfair to want what the Steelers, Ravens, Pats, Seahawks etc have. Sustained success. They have a player type and they reload. We don’t have a player type. We’re all over the place. Tepper talks about sustained winning but Marty will never get us there.

If he’s such a good guy then put him in charge of fan relations or let him lead trips to the whitewater center to build team chemistry. He’s had his chance at being a GM. He’s the chicken salad with raisins of GMs.

Even the Rhule hire and process seems like a typical emotional Marty move. He flies there and is immediately sold by a passionate speech from Rhule and unlimited meatballs Mrs Rhule served. Called off all interviews because of a motivational sales job by Rhule. I hope it works.
