idk, this breaks my heart tbh. despite having sales & streams to back them up, radio refuses to give bts what they deserve and unfortunately these gatekeepers are given way too much power over chart positions when they’re not at all indicative of what people are listening to rn

i dont know what’s gonna happen with BE but i hope we can give it everything we’ve got. i hope we can see their korean song standing tall at #1 in multiple countries too. i know it won’t be easy & i know we’ll have it harder than with Dynamite but they deserve it. they really do

tired of how this industry keeps trying to box them in, tired of how each achievement of theirs gets scrutinised & criticised when none of their western peers are treated the same. what have bts ever done apart from make music & sell music? no bundles, no buy outs & yet...?

how’s radio ever be a true reflection of audience choice when these request shows don’t even take the most requested into consideration? when they already planned which song will win? when songs with less sales & streams get pushed top 15 immediately with tonnes of airplay. how?

namjoons recent log absolutely broke me ngl. the fact that he questioned this when bts’ lyrics are the reason im here today is hard to see. what their lyrics have brought to millions across the world can not be measured by this fcked industrys standard

when i think of bts, i think of their message, their lyrics, how dedicated they are to music. how beautifully crafted their albums are, how each era holds a story true to their heart, how some members have cried while writing songs, how others have healed..

you can’t sit here and tell me bts’ music doesn’t deserve exactly the same treatment as their peers. you can’t tell me that when their music has moved mountains in the industry, travelled across the world, broken records, changed lives fck sake. you can’t tell me that sht
