"Pride is not the opposite of shame, but it's source.
True humility is the only antidote to shame."

An event where Tin was able to swallow his pride and humble himself in front of Can, which allowed him to be vulnerable with another person for the first time.

#AChanceToLoveEp5
This thread talks about how the last scene that happened in #AChanceToLoveEP5 was so beautifully built up from the first episode, the parallels and opposites from both #TinCan's lives that led to this moment.
Start with the background...

it's established both in S1 and S2 that Tin's history with Tul played a huge role on shaping him to be the person that he is. It led him to have trust issues against everyone he meets, and caused him to feel more resentment towards his whole family.
But we're also given new info that despite still having a good heart inside, Tin was raised as a spoiled kid that had no respect for others (especially people "below" his class). Little kid also had a tendency to lie instead of owning up and taking responsibility of his actions.
Tin grew up to be a pretty decent person... maybe also because, after feeling betrayed, he eventually detached himself from the toxic manipulative tutelage that is Tul's caregiving.

Though the annoying asshole still comes creeping up sometimes, mostly as his defense mechanism.
Let's look at Can now.

At first I found it interesting that he quotes his Mom so often, it wasn't a detail that existed in S1. But now I understand it was to highlight that he highly values his mother's advices. He loves and respects her, the way Tin didn't towards his own Mom.
Can's also ready to defend and fight for people he cares about. Always.

Something that Tin has in common.

They're even willing to face these obstacles in their place in order to protect them. In fact, I think in the long run both of their loyalty would be their strongest suits.
Another thing to note is that unlike Tin... Can has a strong good conscience.

He constantly feels guilty once he's wronged someone, and immediately apologizes or tries to make up for his mistakes.
Can is portrayed to be pure good in this story. It's not as simple as because he's "dumb".

Yes, he's very innocent... he never judges or suspects somebody. I think he searches and tries to see the best out of people when he meets them.
This is why it irked Can so much to see Tin going back and forth between tolerable person... and then returning to become a douche again.

Also pushed by his curious nature, we see that Can does want to figure him out. Why Tin became like this, and acted this way.
Throughout learning about Tin, Can's concern and care towards him too develops, maybe subconsciously before he realizes.

It shows when after his first attempt failed, Can refused to back down the second time that he taught Tin to say sorry for hurting someone's feelings.
And when Tin half-assed that apology, he made him do it again...

He *wants* Tin to take him seriously.
Can is more that just some cute guy that could be bought with gifts and snacks, or someone that just gives in to Tin's dismissive attitude at things.
God knows when was the last time that Tin actually apologizes before this, but this was a good start of teaching Tin to knock his ego down a peg.

Cause while Can is like a shining joyful beacon of hope in Tin's life right now... he isn't gonna magically fix Tin's problems.
Unless he's willing to open up, and try to better himself.

See, I've read that sometimes abused victim fixates their mind so much on their hatred towards their abuser (cause it's a significant part of their life). They become so obsessed over the idea of not wanting to -
end up like their abuser... they didn't realize that they're actually already on their way to become alike the very person that destroyed their life.

Do you guys notice this? Multiple times Tin kept calling out Tul for lying and being a fake person.
But Tin's also shady around Can in his conquest to flirt with him. He lied to Can.

Because he didn't know the proper way to do it, he tried to trick Can into getting his phone number.
(I'd mention the scene where he called someone to look up something for him, then he suddenly showed up at the Mall where Can was... but we still don't know exactly what happened there and how... so I digress)
Can, who's just as stubborn, would be the person that pulls him out of this darkness.

But Can's not gonna force his way bursting through that wall.

Tin has to bring his own walls down and let him in.
He himself still has to be the active one to create the change in his life.
The night that he drove to Can's house was him taking yet another step of fully trusting him.

Tin, whom we always see so composed.
His self conscious habit is straightening his tie, dusting off wrinkles off his clothes. He has this impulse to stand tall, unaffected by the world.
Yet there he was.

Zero care to his outfits, face stained by his tears.
No shame, no pretense or facade and tricks up his sleeves.
He wasn't trying to be smooth in front of Can.

Vulnerably seeking comfort in Can's arms, Tin finally breaks down.

And those walls crumbled too.
