the difference between thirst tweeting and sexualising someone; a thread
-Thirst tweets are tweets where a person thirsts over another person; where they express strong desire for something to happen in general, something to happen to them or something to happen to them by some one/thing. they are also used to express sexual desire towards someone.
-Sexualising someone is objectifying them in a way; it's when people ignore (someone)'s humanity and dignity by only viewing them as someone sexual.
-a sex symbol is someone who's more commonly known for being sexually attractive or someone people see as a person they only wanna have sex with.
•when someone calls someone hot, or says that theyre atttactive- that's obviously a compliment. when someone says that they want to have sex with someone, do something sexual with them or want (someone) to do something sexual to them, that's just them being horny.
•they're expressing their sexual desire for someone and they shouldnt be called out for that. if you're uncomfortable, just block them instead of telling ppl to unfollow and/or giving them hate.
•H said that hes uncomfortable with being considered as a sex symbol; in other words- he meant that hes uncomfy when people only view him as someone they want to have sex with or do sexual things with, while disregarding his achievements.
•hes uncomfortable with the status of a womanizer and someone who's all about flirting, hookups, sex and relationships.
• before following someone, maybe go through their account and see if they tweet nsfw things and then follow them at your own risk; like only if you dont mind those kinda tweets.
•also when the ONLY thing someone does on their account is talk sexually about him (or anyone for that matter) then that's sexualising, they only think of them as someone they want to have sex with while they dont talk about their achievements or summat at all
