So younger counsel of #lawtwitter , something happened in my trial today which I think is important to share.

I made an objection. I'm fairly confident I'm right. Others I spoke to agree. I had the arguments necessary.

I lost. Judge let the evidence in.

What now? I could

feel myself getting irritated and upset. I knew I was right. Why didn't it go my way?

You have to put that aside. Move on. Trial isn't stopping while you catch up. Deal with it later, make an argument in closing if you have to. But, the judge ruled and you have to adapt.

You can only control your reactions to what is happening. It'll only flumox you if you let it. Keep pushing and moving forward.
