One more weird Avatar thing before I start getting ready to turn in. Based on a few patterns we've seen in Avatar: The Last Airbender I think we have enough energy to make some educated guesses to create a profile of the next Avatar after Korra. Join me for this randomness /1

First, we know they'll be an Earthbender as that's next in the cycle. They will likely be male as we've seen the sexes flip between incarnations but that's not a definite as both the most recent fire Avatars we know of were male (Roku and the advisor Avatar)so who knows there. /2

Regardless there seems to be a pattern where the Avatar favors the appearance of whoever their great love was in their previous life. With Aang that's pretty obvious but we see this with Roku. His wife had grey eyes and a rounder face a bit like Aang. Similar situation with /3

Kurruk, his white had dark hair and grey eyes. Fits Kiyoshi, next in line relatively well. From there my guess is that we'll have a male Earthbending Avatar with green eyes and dark hair when Korra reincarnates. But I think we can go even further than that and get a sense of /4

what their personality is like. Each Avatar seems to be a response to the regrets of their predecessors. Kurruk regreted not taking his job more seriously and then we get Kiyoshi who was arguably a workaholic but clearly all business. Roku meanwhile was more relaxed but still /5

dutiful. He just didn't let the work consume him. However, he clearly regretted not finding a way to stop the firelord without killing him. That leads us to Aang who managed to find a way to stop the war without killing but regretted running away from his duties. /6
