There are 2 kinds of #bbq in #NCPOL:
Eastern, Vinegar-based, whole hog. AKA the real stuff.
Western, Tomato-based, pork shoulder. AKA glorified spaghetti sauce.
To be clear. Neither are ever cooked on gas grills or eaten on hotdog buns.

What I saw a candidate for a major #NCPOL office do today, cooking 
and 
on a gas grill - commonly referred to as California-style BBQing - simply has no place in NC #bbq lexicon and is unheard of during an election.
This level of cultural insensitivity is unacceptable.

If those and were by any change tofu or âveggieâ meat replacements the #NCSEN race might have ended tonight.
The fact that said offender claims #Lexington #ncpol - the motherland of imposter #bbq - as his place of residence just adds insult to injury.
I am aghast.

Screwing up #BBQ can cost a candidate an #ncpol election:
