So, just finished reading @boomstudios "An Unkindness Of Ravens" by @urbanbarbarian, #MariannaIgnazzi, and @FabianaMascolo

Right away - I want more, which is the number one sign of a good comic book
But let me tell you more than just "oh, it& #39;s fantastic, get on it asap, demand a second printing if your local shop is out" (btw, you ABSOLUTELY should do all of those things. ASAP) And by "more", I mean things that you probably don& #39;t see in other reviews, "technical" things.
1. The writing is both dark and playful, and that blend is done very nicely. Enough mistery to keep you intrigued, but also fairly dynamic to have you engaged.
2. The art style, which has never been my personal favorite, is done masterfully and fits the story like a glove.

Every character is drawn with amazing attention to IMPORTANT details that instatly speak of their unique qualities and traits. And you can tell by the linework, that it& #39;s done with ease and true enjoyment.
3. Same as the lineart, the colors are aslo done not only masterfully, but with great attention to the artists work, completing every form and angle and creating a perfect visual arena for a supernatural story involving teens.
And last, but not last - I truly appreciate clean, thought through, "non-invasive" lettering, and this book has it. It& #39; a bliss to read.
That said, if you& #39;re thinking "oh great, another "teen witch" story", you might be very surprized, cos when you read the whole issue through, it really doesn& #39;t feel like it.
