Tonight I received a cease and desist letter from Nintendo’s lawyers in regards to my art.

While I am disheartened by the news, I am cooperating with Nintendo’s demands and will release a full statement at a later date.

• Yes, this was about my controllers

• No, I don’t have to completely stop making controllers, only stop using direct imagery of Nintendo IPs

• I have been actively seeking out licensing and partnerships for years. I’ll happily pay Nintendo for licensing.

• Yes I am aware that was I am doing is frowned upon. But if you have ever been to a comic book convention you’ll know that thousands of artists draw Nintendo characters and sell their art.

My canvas just isn’t paper. Nothing I do is mass produced, it’s all made by hand.
