A thread for people who sometimes struggle with self-esteem because of their physical features.
1.) You are not alone.
A lot of us have interesting reservations about our bodies. It is to be expected as we are daily bombarded with multiple definitions of what it means to be good-looking, or to be acceptable by our physical features.
But come here, please.

2.) You are a good thing.
Read that again.
I do not mean that as a courtesy, I mean that you are a good thing in motion. You are happening to your world- and to yourself- and so much good can come from the works of your hands, and your being.

3.)Be kind to yourself:
I do not mean your body, I mean you. Stop being mean to yourself. You most likely would not talk badly about the body of someone you love, yet here you are doing it to yourself.
Lavish the acceptance you give on yourself .
Be kind to you.

4.) Who are you listening to?
I ask because you are subconsciously comparing yourself to someone’s definition of beauty. Whose?
Who is telling you that you should not be excited that every part of your body looks how it does?
Mute them. Because...

5.) Your body is a garden, it houses your soul, be kind to it.
Should you decide to change any body part, I hope you know your body shouldn't have to fit certain features to be worthy of your love and acceptance.
It's worthy as is.

6.) Practice settling into yourself. Say with me:
"I belong in this body
I am welcome in this place
This body is a garden
And I will flourish in it."
Open your arms and welcome yourself to you.

7.) Lavish yourself with acceptance.
Gas. Yourself. Up.
Pick that "flaw" and gas it up. Gas everything all the way up.
Because wow. *chefs kiss*
You are valuable, you are a good thing, your body is a good thing.
Come back here when you forget.

I'll gas myself up first!
Fiyin, it's the everything for me. Your big forehead teaches the sun to shine. Your large eyes contest with the moon. Your little derrière is all the backside you need. And your calves are standing on the promises of God!
I'll be kinder to myself.
