Thing about automated football is that most people don& #39;t realize is the players initially enjoy the superiority it gives them but deep down they aren& #39;t sure if it& #39;s just the system that& #39;s making them look good, the player subconsciously doubts his ability (1/4) https://twitter.com/3rdManRun/status/1310670278851166208">https://twitter.com/3rdManRun...
And when the brain simply can& #39;t take any more loops, the nice football wears off & now that little doubt crops up & all over sudden half the squad secretly believes they just might be mid. This is what& #39;s happening at City & Spurs. (2/4)
Klopp& #39;s setup keeps the player operating in his individual self with a few guidelines on how to respond collectively so the same player can find his own solutions but the player doesn& #39;t regress, instead they find new solutions & with good coaching work to polish weaknesses. (3/4)
We live in an era where everyone is trying to automate football but no one has found a consistent solution, Barca are fixated at trying to recreate Pep& #39;s prime Barca but not even Pep has managed that. Klopp has basically brought back simplicity but on mental & physical steroids.
