People who shit on coaching are really dumb

As someone who's had almost 10 years of prior experience as an athlete and competing in those sports at a high level (golf, swimming) I can say that coaching has taken me way further than I could've ever gone on my own.
Having a consistent second opinion from someone who knows more about whatever sport/game you're playing and wants to help you is so, so, important and will heighten your skills much faster than going along by yourself.

Yes, they might be expensive, and some coaches might
be bad, but it's your job to find a good one and you'll get way better once finding a good one.
Most people have a really closed mindset when it comes to improving in smash for some reason. They think that if they keep doing the same thing over and over again, they'll eventually get better because their "gamesense" improves in some way when that's not the case.
A good coach will open many new doors and will leave exploration to you. They're not playing the game for you, just guiding you along with their own experiences and knowledge.

Smash is an anomaly, it's crazy how many self-taught players have made it to the top
compared to other sports/games. Almost the entirety of the top 100 golfers out there all have at least 1 coach, and the only self-taught one to ever make it kinda fell off after winning one major. It might be because it's easier to find your own mistakes in something like smash,
but I digress.

Please get a good coach that will help you, just one session will go a long way for you.

I recommend these two amazing people if you want coaching right now:
@RamsesDecrees offers super high level and theoretical coaching that really makes you think. His prices are dirt cheap for the quality of advice that he gives (like 25 dollars an hour iirc?), he also streams/makes free coaching content that you can find on his twitch and youtube.
@FloppehFeesh also gives coaching sessions for free! His advice is also very strong and he'll help you get your habits straightened out super quickly.
