Remember when Eddie Redmayne played a trans woman and a bunch of us said that there& #39;s a problem with cis men playing trans women is that trans women are often framed/solidified as crossdressing men? https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2020/09/eddie-redmayne-stands-j-k-rowling-internet-vitriol/?fbclid=IwAR2sXRj91Zo0isJNiXWPD2dAPduJ7B2TBGRvxRYxrB3dNBE71y4lpKF2Cy0">https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2020/09/e...
I& #39;ll just never get over the narrative that people have bought into that in times like these, it& #39;s people like JK Rowling, not transgender women, who we should defend against vitriol. This is why I do not believe we will ever see transgender acceptance and things will get worse.
PS: I& #39;m not fully against cis men playing trans women, but I& #39;d like to think that when they do that, they give a fuck about trans people enough to not side with folks who wish us harm. But that& #39;s usually not the case. It& #39;s just oscar bait.
"I have trans friends and colleges".
Hey, if you consider yourself to be my friend and you agree with this bullshit, can you stop telling people we& #39;re friends? You& #39;re not my fucking friend.

JK Rowling will be fine. I wish people cared about trans folks as much as they seem to care about her. She keeps getting more and more and more bold about her transphobia and I& #39;m sorry, but it& #39;s really not crazy that people don& #39;t love that about her.
She is pushing and encouraging narratives that demonstrably harm trans folks. Cool, he disagrees with her, but why rush to her defense instead of continuing to defend trans people who are constantly at attack? Especially by your friend. Come on.
