The problem with nutrition studies is often the lack of a control group. People often loss weight just by enrolling as they pay more attention to their eating habits.
This study found no statistically significant difference between the group that ate at regular intervals and the group that time restricted their eating. Both lost weight.
Before we bio-hack, we need more high quality studies in the field of nutrition science. In humans, not mice. These are unfortunately too rare.
I’ll add that Dr. Weiss told me the results surprised him, but I’m glad that the scientific method allows for our hypotheses to be proven false. And for the negative studies to be published, too.
