just sitting here thinking to myself how I would happily be taxed more if it went towards health care, public education, roads and parks and libraries (not the military industrial complex). HAPPILY I tell you, and this is not a bluff. It's . . . common sense if you like people?
I say this as someone who spent several years on various forms of government support and then moving out of poverty and we had that lower-middle class shock of suddenly having to pay a bunch of taxes (helloooooo freelancer life). I like taxes, they make neighborly sense.
But I also thought to myself publicly advocating for more taxes for the common good basically makes me MY ancestors wildest (bad) dream.
I'm just going to say it conservatives taught me extremely shitty things about taxes and they have to work mighty hard and pump you full of all sorts of individualistic, nationalistic bs in order to keep convincing people their approach to money is anything close to biblical.
(there is no doubt in my mind these tax disclosures will make Trump a hero to many people. He really is living out the dream).
