So.... a police officer told me today that he could have charged me for "obstructing traffic" because I was biking down the middle of the lane on Elgin. But then, he was "being nice" and didn& #39;t because the person in the SUV behind me was honking at me. I& #39;m still processing....
The officers tried to convince me that I& #39;m *legally* obligated to move over to allow cars to pass.
That by saying I was biking in the lane I was admitting to obstructing traffic.

They completely ignored the middle-aged white man harassing me (both honking and yelling at me) in the vehicle behind me.
This was also my fault & lead to my "obstructing traffic" charge threat:
I stopped at a red light.
Several cars piled up behind me.
The light turned green.
I was travelling at about 24-25 km/h in a 30 km/h zone.
Cop: "Did you see the line up of cars piled behind you?"
