Let me speak to my sisters-in-arms on here for a moment.

I've watched some of the strongest women I know have meltdowns this week, and I include myself in that count (sorry!). This tells me there is a collective grief/group rage happening that we should speak to for a moment.
This has been a hard few weeks for women culturally. Forced hysterectomies on asylum seekers, the loss of RBG, the travesty of Breonna Taylor's death without justice...and this is to say nothing about whatever we are grappling with personally.
There's a lot of psychological weight in living in a failing state. And the sheer amount of work we are doing to try to salvage the situation is *exhausting*. It's all designed to create a feeling of scarcity: that we don't have enough time, energy, resources, influence to fix it
I just want to affirm something very strongly: YOU ARE ENOUGH. You are absolutely enough. You are strong enough, resilient enough, good enough. And together, we are MORE than enough for this cabal of morons and thieves and evildoers, who are each and every one *weak*.
There is no shame in being vulnerable, in feeling all the things, in taking the risk of believing in something, including this country. It is an act of fierce love to reckon with our failings...and work anyway. And I'm already proud of us, and expect to be still MORE proud of us
It's fitting that we speak of "the Founding Fathers". But in the future, I hope we may we also speak of "the Renewal Generation", of a collaborative re-working of an old dream, one that *this* time is diverse and inclusive, and honors women's work alongside men's. That's us.
