- We haven& #39;t seen him create any UX maps, CX, IA maps, or really any kind of maps

- He is obsessed over tiny little details, like these (thread below) :
During his first week, he had this idea that page icons should update based on their content to give more context to the user :
It turned out that he& #39;s a big fan of drag & drop, (keeps saying it& #39;s TOUCHscreen for a reason..) and he demanded it to be implemented properly! So anything you drag should be dropped anywhere - even on a different page!
The "group/ungroup"project was quite challenging with him - he figured out we should use animation and depth in order to help users better understand what& #39;s happening - I mean isn& #39;t the name "group" kinda trivial?
He had this idea that when zooming in on images we should also animate the radius of the corners - and when you close an image - it should fly back to it& #39;s original position. Even if you scroll to another image. I mean even Twitter only does this for the first image!
He worked close to a month to make sure content animates with *exactly* the same dynamics as the keyboard. We also needed to implement all sorts of tricks to satisfy his desire of moving back to content to it& #39;s original position when the keyboard is dismissed.
We had to almost completely re-architect our code base to support this tiny little thing where if 2 paragraphs have the same decorations, they magically

Search was another challenge. His idea was that we shouldn& #39;t just show results which are on the screen - but also everything down the hierarchy! Madness

Though iOS does have a default drag and drop interaction (which we already use for moving things around), but he insisted it& #39;s too slow for quick add - and we have to do another (custom) implementation as well!!
On top of the already large amount of gestures he had this idea to make multi-selection more "convenient" via a pan gesture on the edge... I& #39;m sure people could just easily select them one-by-one...?

Apple just introduced a nice context menu with iOS14 - but he didn& #39;t like it. It doesn& #39;t support going back or visual hierarchy - so he did this... I mean, it& #39;s just a context menu, surely it won& #39;t improve any major metrics - why did he even spend time here?
Sometimes he does come up with nice ideas though - i.e. these hover based spelling suggestions I have to admit are pretty sweet.
And finally, he managed to find the right place for confetti (although we& #39;ve been saying we **need** confetti for over a year - and I personally think it& #39;s a little too subtle!)
So what do you think? Should we continue to encourage him, or is this just getting out of control?
