Ummm. Why did they need to tackle him like that? Seriously, fuck that guy, but police reform should be bipartisan. https://twitter.com/aravosis/status/1310652689802563585
The police report says "As he exited, police ordered Brad Parscale — shirtless, but wearing shorts — to get on the ground. He didn’t comply, so an officer used a “double-leg takedown” to lower him to the ground" Video doesn't support that at all.
1) Parscale is talking to policeman calmly, hands are clear and out. 2) To the side, cop yells "get on the ground" and then tackles him about a second apart, not enough time to react, given he's focused on the cop with the body cam.
Police report says "lower him to the ground" lol. It was a hard tackle. If Parscale was a threat, ask him to raise his hands, put them on the truck, pat down and cuff. Nothing about the video says Parscale was a threat to the cops.
Again, fuck that guy. He's the worst. But maybe, just maybe, conservatives will look at this and realize that the need for police reform is real, that the default setting toward "escalate with more violence" is a real problem and should be addressed.
