Cutting the cost of consumer spending by 7% does seem both reasonably stimulative to the economy and could make a difference in a lot of family& #39;s finances
Not a fan of the "until the economy recovers" language, instead of a clear end date, because the new political equilibrium could easily settle on a permanent 3% rate
What I don& #39;t think is going to be effective is the NDP partisans chiming in with "but I thought the BCLP was the party of fiscal responsibility" after they just racked up a big (justified) deficit in response to COVID and the economy crashing
