Hi, so much Snape hating today so I wanted to make the Snape stans feel more comfortable. Alot of ppl are feeling shame and guilt, stop bullying others for simply liking a character. This thread is for you. Be yourself! Screw anyone who says otherwise.
Hermione thought Snape was trying to jinx Harry’s broom when really, it was Quirrel jinxing the broom and Snape was performing a protection spell on Harry.
The trio thought Snape was up to stealing the stone. Snape was actually trying to prevent the Stone from falling into the wrong hands. Aka into Quirrel’s hands.
Snape wishes Harry good luck for his quidditch match against Slytherin. The trio think he’s up to something but plot twist, he was trying to make sure Harry wouldn’t get hurt by Quirrel again.
Snape openly threatens Quirrel hoping he'd refrain from taking further action against Harry. Harry thought he was threatening Quirrel to get to the stone.
Snape dueling with Lochart, teaches Harry the Defence spell 'expelliarmus', which Harry adopts as his signature and even uses to kill Voldemort.
Harry thought Snape ignored his message about Sirius in OOTP. Snape, being an Order of the Phoenix member.. informs the order right away. That is why the Order pulled up quickly when the students needed them.
Snape suggests that Dumbledore shares information with Harry but Dumbledore dismisses the idea saying it's better not to worry about him. Snape, “What about Potter? Should he be warned?" As Dumbledore said, “Perhaps, but not for now, let him sleep.”
Snape tries to teach Harry Occlumency. Before y’all try to say he was harsh, he was giving him life tips in that very moment. He was trying to make Harry understand that life is hard but you can’t stop trying. He needed to teach him how to defend himself against Voldemort.
Snape slows down on purpose, the process of making Veritaserum, in order to slow down Umbridges consequences she had planned for the students, aka Harry.
Snape pretends he doesn't know Harry got hold his own potions textbook, allowing him to cheat and pass Advanced Potions and to use it to whatever purpose it might suit their cause.
Snape heals Draco Malfoy after Harry curses him with Sectumsepra, saving not only Draco's life but also Harry from becoming a murderer and his soul from any stain.
Dumbledore prepared Snape for the awful task, he said he would be the one to kill him. Draco’s future would have been cut abruptly short if he’d failed to commit the murder. Snape stepped in knowing he and Dumbledore planned this. So in the end..Snape managed to save a boy’s soul
As Harry gets under attack, Snape literally roars for it to stop, saving Harry from Bellatrix. “He belongs to the Dark Lord.”
Snape is the one who comes out with the idea that the order uses decoys, identical potters to keep the real Harry safe.
Snape puts the gryffindor sword in the lake and makes sure that Harry finds it trough his patronus.
No matter the personal grudges he held against the Marauders, even though Lupin almost killed him when he was a teen, his motive was to protect the trio from harm. He didn’t bother lecturing them or threatening them for being expelled from Hogwarts being off the schoolgrounds.
Snape endangered his own life every day for years, spying on Voldemort and being a triple agent for Dumbledore, in order to keep Harry safe.
Snape gives Harry his memories to pass on Dumbledore's last message and make sure he knows how to defeat Voldemort
Before y’all say he has a creepy obsession over Lily, you’ve never been in love. He lost the first person who truly did love him on BAD TERMS. That shit is traumatizing as hell. Poor guy was abused growing up & the minute he found love, he blew it bc he wasnt taught the right way
