Heung-Min Son replacements (Thread)

The highest scoring midfielder in FPL as of writing, Son picked up an injury in the first half against Newcastle and is now expected to already drop in price tonight

Who are the best replacements? What should you do with him? https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="⤵️" title="Nach rechts zeigender Pfeil mit Krümmung nach unten" aria-label="Emoji: Nach rechts zeigender Pfeil mit Krümmung nach unten">
These were Jose Mourinho’s words in the press conference after the game:

"It& #39;s an injury, we& #39;ll have him out for a while. It& #39;s his hamstring."

He also said that he expects Son to miss out for a long time. If it’s a partial or a complete muscle tear, we don’t know, but...
I probably won& #39;t expect Son to play in October at least. It should be mentioned that Son often recovers faster than usual.

For those that don’t care or think about the price drop it could be a wise decision to wait a few days until the injury has been assessed https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🚑" title="Rettungswagen" aria-label="Emoji: Rettungswagen">
So who should you replace him with https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="❓" title="Rotes Fragezeichen-Symbol" aria-label="Emoji: Rotes Fragezeichen-Symbol">

Well, if you have some money in the bank, an upgrade to a player like Fernandes, Rashford or maybe even Sterling might be on the cards for you.

However, in this thread I will only mention players that could be afforded by everyone:
great looking fixtures coming up with WHU, AVL, ars, lee.

He is currently £2.1 cheaper than Son so it does free up quite some funds to use elsewhere.

The con with Barnes is that he isn& #39;t on any sort of set-pieces and that his assisting potential hasn& #39;t looked that great so far

A massive bonus (especially this season) is that he is on penalties and being the captain, he is completely nailed.

With CHE (A) coming up next it feels like a perfect fixture for him if Reece James starts because of the space in behind

greatest despite them being 2 home games (BHA, LIV)

That is part of why he isn& #39;t higher on the list and also because his goal scoring threat seems limited.

Other than that his assist potential is through the roof and Everton as a team currently has the highest xG in the league.

Hitting the post/bar 3 times in GW3, Trossard makes this list despite being owned by only 1.3% of FPL managers.

Brighton has impressed a lot so far and Trossard is a large part of that. A rotation risk last season, he has played 90 mins in all 3...
so far and have even been on some set-pieces.

His fixtures does look solid with EVE (A), CRY (A) and WBA (H) coming up next and for only £6.0 he does look like a bargain.

If we also look at his stats it& #39;s still remains a bit of a mystery to me why only 1.3% own him.

Honorable mentions that didn& #39;t make the list because of the lack of sample size:

Mahrez
Maddison
Foden
Pulisic
Ziyech
Greenwood
Grealish
Thanks for reading my thread about what I believe are the best replacements for Son. Most of them are on the cheaper side of things so may give you some money to spend elsewhere https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😀" title="Grinsendes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Grinsendes Gesicht">

Let& #39;s just get this terrible gameweek 3 over with and move on to gameweek 4 shall we? https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🍀" title="Vierblättriges Kleeblatt" aria-label="Emoji: Vierblättriges Kleeblatt">
