This weekend I suffered, what I considered to be, a crushing defeat. Worst part was, I did it to myself.

I made an assumption. I moved forward without checking my work. I got comfortable with the feeling of relative success. And it all came back to bite me in the rump. Hard.
I panicked. I broke down. I became enraged. And in the midst of my impotent fury, I realized,

I had no one to blame but myself.
So I stopped. Everything. Laid down on the floor. Shouted. Cried. And felt the weight of the world on my chest.

...I got back up.
Wiped my tears away.
Washed my face.
And went back to work.
I assessed the situation.

Made the necessary adjustments. And I carried on. Because if I didn& #39;t, no one was going to. And I needed to do it, because what I& #39;m working towards is far more important than my temporary feelings of defeat.
This is where I pay my dues. Where I earn my stripes.

I realized this will not beat me. It will only make me stronger. Better. More capable than I was before.
And low & behold, the sun rose this morning. Just like it always does.
And I guess that& #39;s the point.
