Simulating 50 years into the future with a transfer ban for all clubs- a short thread.
This wasn't actually done by me, you have @Matthew_Jones6 to thank for this one
Firstly, England still haven't won the World Cup. But the Czech Republic have.
But we do win the European Championships!! Not once, but twice!! Roy Hodgson will be 104 years old by the time we do though
The Premier League continues fairly normally... until all the players in their primes today retire. Then Arsenal take over. Finally, success with the English core.
Shit, a transfer ban was given to all clubs with a reputation over 3500... 30 years into the future and Salford, who don't have a transfer ban, have finally made it to the top of the pyramid. I have a feeling they might be there for a while.
Truly tragic if we're being honest
New stadiums!! Arsenal now have the biggest stadium in English football. Salford won the league for about 20 years in a row with a 12,000 seater stadium lmao
50 years in to the future and Manchester United and Manchester City are in the Sky Bet Championship without transfers. Lmao
Out of context this picture is a bit surreal. The Champions League final in 50 years time is between Chesterfield and Salford
Conclusions: Arsenal would be the best equipped team in the UK to handle a transfer ban, Salford would be the best if no one else could buy any players, England won't ever win a world Cup even if they have to focus on homegrown talent
Hope you enjoyed the simulation done by @Matthew_Jones6. The next simulation is the big one: players only allowed to play for their local team. Stay tuned for that.
