Idk if the field in which I grow my fucks is just scorched earth, but did anyone seriously expect anything different from Trump’s tax returns? Does anyone really expect that calling their senators will stop a SCOTUS confirmation? This all feels like such a waste of energy. (1/5)

I guess I just wonder if maybe we can shift focus to caring for our communities in the ways the US government clearly refuses to do. We can’t trust them. We can’t change them. Corporations own them and will continue to do so... but we can build greater protections locally. (2/5)

Insert Serenity Prayer here or whatever, but... I guess I’m tired of banging my head against the wall over a spectator sport. Our national representation will not help us (and was never going to)... but if we redirect our energy to local efforts, maybe we can bypass them. (3/5)

All I know is that the sustained outrage at the president and the senate acting like the craven power hungry parasites they are feels like it’s not serving us. If we can’t get the media to treat good people as viable candidates to change that... maybe it’s time to step away.(4/5)
