👉 Leading to people to your blog

👉 Leading to them clicking affiliate links within your posts

👉 Leading to commissions $$$

2. This is not a comprehensive guide.

It’s not every step you need.

It’s not the only way to do it.

It’s the basic steps to get you headed in the right direction.

Hopefully you some inspiration away from it.

👉 Ready?

Let’s begin

👇

(3/19)
➡️ Research your niche

You can create a blog about anything.

But if your goal is to monetize it through organic search traffic,

You need to research the niche & it’s related keywords first.

Goto http://ahrefs.com

(4/19)
It’s $99/month for the lite version but you can get a free 7-day trial.

Main tool is the “Keyword Explorer”

Type your niche keyword phrase in & search.

This is the basic information you will receive:

(5/19)
Keyword difficulty = basically how hard it is to reach the first page of Google results

In this case, 68 isn’t a great score.

However, I’m relying on other factors that I believe will mitigate this.

Volume = avg number of monthly searches using this keyword phrase

(6/19)
Clicks = avg number of monthly clicks on search results when people search for this keyword

Global volume = avg number of monthly searches across the globe for this keyword

(7/19)
➡️ Click on “search suggestions”

This provides keyword ideas related to your keyword phrase.

Here you see these results.

While the main keyword has a high “keyword difficulty”,

It has high volume & the CPC (cost-per-click) is $4.50, both positives.

(8/19)
Also,

While my main keyword phrase is the top result,

One to potentially take advantage of is #5.

This is a “long-tail keyword” (more specific version of my main keyword phrase)

Keyword difficulty is lower & it still generates 2k clicks per month.

(9/19)
You maybe asking why “long-tail keywords” are important.

The more specific, the less searches

BUT usually more conversions.

Because it’s more specific.

The same reason people suggest focusing on a niche or a sub-niche.

(10/19)
Here’s an example:

Search for “supplements for men”

Google suggests adding “over 40” and “over 50”

Less searches but more conversions because of the specificity.

(11/19)
➡️ There are plenty of tools you can use to do keyword research.

There’s much more to it than this.

Do your research.

Plenty of free videos on YouTube that dive into the same topic.

(12/19)
Signup for SiteGround.

Search for your domain name.

Try to find one that also fits well within your keyword phrase.

This can be difficult.

So try different long tail keywords that were suggested by the keyword explorer.

(14/19)
➡️ Purchase hosting & domain name

Install Wordpress,

Wordpress has a ton of awesome tools, specifically related to SEO & affiliate marketing.

Then encrypt your site by going to Site Tools > SSL manager

This increase the security for visitors.

(15/19)
➡️ Goto Wordpress Admin

Install Elementor (SiteGround automates this now with a pop up)

Elementor is one of the easiest & best tools to “drag and drop” when designing your blog.

This is how you will build your website.

(16/19)
➡️ Pick a theme

Free themes have improved over the years.

No need to buy a premium one for a blog.

Neve is a good one.

Install & begin customizing.

You’ll want to use Elementor to customize your homepage.

(17/19)
To do this, goto your homepage URL.

You’ll see “Elementor” at the top.

Click this to begin editing.

You can add blocks, replaces images, pretty much anything.

The drag & drop is easy enough you can play around with it to learn.

(18/19)
Won’t go into detail about making blog posts.

However, just know you will have some “default” blog posts under “Posts” already.

Use these as your template.

Copy & paste your content and publish.
