. @TherealNihal I moved to Manchester in 1996 largely because of Oasis, The Stone Roses, and The Smiths. I saw Mani in Boots on day one of living there, Johnny Marr on King Street on day 2, and just assumed your idols were on every street corner. It was amazing, and mad.
It should be pointed out that I then didn't see anyone famous for ages. I was then lucky enough get a job where I got to interview and write about them all.

And they were lovely.
But you do see the city's famous musicians knocking around town. It makes the city feel even more connected to its music.

Also, the cab ride I shared with Bez and Rowetta was the wildest 3 minutes of my life.
