We have some exciting news to share!

We have recently been successful for an @EsmeeFairbairn funded project to digitise, catalogue and share with you some never-before-seen photographs from Ealing Studios from Stills Photographer Roy Gough.
Gough photographed some of the biggest stars of the mid 20th century including Sir Roger Moore, Audrey Hepburn, Sir Alec Guinness and Sir Michael Redgrave and worked on well-known Ealing Studios films like The Captive Heart and Whisky Galore & we’ll be sharing some online.
The picture starting this thread is of Sir Michael Balcon & Sir Harry Secombe in the comedy-drama “Davy”. Balcon ran Ealing Studios from 1938-55 and was a legendary figure, producing some of Ealing Studios’ most well-known films Passport to Pimlico and The Lavender Hill Mob.
Who remembers this film? We would love for our community to help us to describe these photos, identify the people in them and share your memories of these iconic films and figures to help us catalogue this unique collection. #ShootingStars #EalingStudios #FortheLoveofGunnesbury
