i’ve started playing Hades by @SupergiantGames and holy cannoli i love it

i might do more of a review later once i finish, but AFAICT they’ve basically perfected the supergiant style/formula: rapid, addictive combat, plus interesting tactical and strategic decisions, gorgeous art and music, and a riveting narrative

also i’m definitely noticing some parallels to evangelion

gotta say the story is moving kinda slow compared to past supergiant games

c’mon, just emotionally pulverize me already!

i guess the story would move faster if i got better at the game, so,,,

i have concerned that romance is possible (didn’t know this)

i’ve also checked out the subreddit, and determined that the best girl debates are alive and well

oh, and if you haven’t played it, i will warn you, it’s best without any spoilers. don’t even read this thread. i spoiled a few things for myself and regret it already (altho i think i still get to experience most of the plot )
