Like I know it's aggravating to see phrases like "high femme" & "stone butch" especially reduced to aesthetics but you gotta understand for trans women in particular "femme" as tendency & way of life has been in our cultural lexicon longer than you've been alive. You're just cis.

You also need to understand that a lot of lesbian femmes pre-Stonewall (and now?) were doing sex work in a kind of ad hoc community which trans femmes were also attached to, and femmes have historical gendered commitments here which extend way beyond being "for" butches

The gatekeeping of femme, not from capitalist economic forces (which really *does* reduce subculture to aesthetics) but from other queer people is really hateful, especially towards trans women. Like honestly you're just being kind of a bully.? Grow up
